GolinHarris in Tokyo welcomes a new managing
director. Eiichi Onozawa comes to GH with an impressive track record
in public relations with 35 years of experience at sister IPG agency
Weber Shandwick. During that time he has been involved with a variety
of clients from different industries, including GE, MasterCard, and
graphics and digital media processor leader NVIDIA. For more than
10 years he worked with NTT, the Japanese telecom company. He also
managed corporate and crisis communications for Boeing for seven years.
His experience will be a valuable asset in serving GH clients in the
Japanese market. As a graduate of Jiyu Gakuen, Onozawa-san is fluent
in both English and Japanese.

Cohan Joins GolinHarris to Lead New York Office |

GolinHarris recently announced the appointment of Jennifer Cohan
as managing director of its New York office. In this role Cohan
will be responsible for the overall operation and business development
for the region. She will also join GolinHarris executive management
committee, which is responsible for the strategic direction of the
agency. Cohan will report directly to president and chief executive
officer Fred Cook.
"Jennifers extensive management experience and leadership
abilities make her the ideal person to lead our New York operation,"
said Cook. "Building our New York office is the highest priority
for GolinHarris, and we are very excited to have Jennifer in this
important leadership position."
Prior to joining GolinHarris, Cohan served as president of GCIs
New York office, the agencys largest. In addition to her responsibility
for the strategic direction and business management of the office,
she counseled clients and agency teams across practice areas.
"I have tremendous respect for the GolinHarris brand and appreciation
for the corporate culture," said Cohan. "I look forward
to the opportunity to help strengthen GolinHarris position
in the New York market."
Prior to joining GCI, Cohan also served as deputy managing director
of Cohn & Wolfes London office. At Cohn & Wolfe she
oversaw agency-wide new business, marketing and client-service initiatives.

Porter Named Senior Vice President, Deputy Managing Director
for GolinHarris in Dallas |

Ginger Porter has recently been promoted to senior vice president,
deputy managing director of the Dallas office. In her new role,
Porter will continue to help oversee the growth and development
of the office and provide strategic counsel to key clients.
"Over the past three years, Ginger has been an integral part
of our growth in Texas as well as an ambassador for the agency far
beyond the local market," said Gary Rudnick, managing director
of GolinHarris in Dallas. "Ginger's leadership, client relationship
skills and creativity strengths are key drivers in the success of
our business."
Since she joined GolinHarris in 2002, Porter has led successful
national and international launches for consumer and corporate accounts
such as Texas Instruments, Verizon SuperPages and Verizon Wireless.
In addition, she actively mentors the staff through developing new
programs or helping to foster new ideas.
Prior to joining GolinHarris, Porter served as vice president of
Springbok Cohn & Wolfe, a public relations subsidiary of Young
& Rubicam, for five years during which time she helped grow
the agency from a 12-person operation to a nationally-recognized
PR firm. From 1994 to 1997, she served as a limited partner and
director of client services for McMann & Tate, a Dallas-based
marketing firm, where she managed campaigns for technology and corporate
clients such as Brinker International, Lucent, Telephony magazine
and Uniden America. Porter began her career as a broadcaster at
KWTX-FM, a leading radio station in Central Texas.

Kingman Appointed to Lead Chicago Corporate Communications Practice

Linda Kingman has joined GolinHarris as executive
vice president in the Chicago office. In addition to managing key
client relationships, Kingman has also been appointed to lead the
corporate communications practice for that office.
"Linda is an outstanding professional with a highly regarded
reputation for strategic thinking, wise counsel and team leadership,"
said Scott Farrell, managing director of the Chicago office. "She
brings an impressive portfolio of corporate communications experience
to our team."
Prior to joining GolinHarris, Kingman served as vice president of
corporate communications for Kemper Insurance Companies, where she
led the companys external and internal communications efforts
with a staff of 21 professionals. Her work at Kemper was expansive,
including corporate branding; executive visibility; general, trade
and business media relations; community relations; financial communications;
corporate philanthropy; and issues and crisis management, including
serving as a member of the senior management team handling Kempers
response to the September 11 terrorist attack on the World Trade
Center where 225 Kemper employees worked.
Prior to joining Kemper, Kingman was a senior managing director
in Hill & Knowltons Chicago office where she held senior
positions in the firms employee communications and public
affairs practices.
Kingman also brings public affairs experience to GolinHarris through
her service with former Illinois Senate President Phil Rock, first
as director of his Chicago office and later as his Chief of Staff
where she supervised a staff of 100 employees in Chicago and Springfield.

Jones Appointed to Lead Nintendo Account |

GolinHarris announced recently that Stephen
Jones has joined the firm as executive vice president in the Los
Angeles office and will lead the agencys largest account,
Nintendo. He will oversee a team of nearly 30 staff members in the
Los Angeles, Seattle and New York offices. He will report to Judy
Johnson, managing director of the Western Region.
"We are very pleased to have Stephen join GolinHarris,"
said Judy Johnson. "Stephen has an extensive background in
public relations and as a journalist in diverse industries, including
entertainment, enterprise computing, consulting services and consumer
electronics. With 20 years of relevant experience and a keen focus
on strategic planning and brand building, Stephen will be a strong
asset to GolinHarris and Nintendo, a 13-year client."
Prior to joining GolinHarris, Jones was managing director of the
Global Technology Practice for Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide,
where he was responsible for growing the agencys technology
portfolio as well as working with Ogilvys client leaders to
position, enhance and protect the brands of clients such as Sun
Microsystems, DigitaLife, LEGATO and MailFrontier. Prior to joining
Ogilvy, he was a partner and associate director in the Global Technology
Practice at Ketchum Public Relations in the Silicon Valley, providing
senior counsel on corporate and product-related issues for clients
including Philips, Deloitte Consulting, Federal Express, Sun Microsystems,
and IDG. Jones also has worked as a reporter and correspondent for
publications such as Computerworld, San Jose Business Journal, Los
Angeles Daily News and BusinessWeek.
