High Value for Clients Through Executive Coaching |
|
|
|
|
Vice-chairman CT Hew and the Hong Kong team
have been leading a number of executive coaching sessions
for client senior management.
|
The Hong Kong team has been busy helping some of the citys
top executives sharpen their leadership presence. GolinHarris vice
chairman CT Hew led a team that recently worked with the head of
a major life insurance company and the financial director of a Hong
Kong-listed organisation to help them hone their presentation skills
and clearly articulate their business goals both internally and
externally.
The GH team considers executive coaching, which entails reviews
of past presentations as well as post-training follow-ups, as an
area of potential growth. New leaders are always being hired or
promoted, and GolinHarris can add value for these clients by helping
make their transitions as smooth and successful as possible.

Major telecom partners celebrate the CMT
Taiwan Launch.
|
Taiwan media came out in force to cover
this singular event.
|
In January, GolinHarris in Taipei launched China Motion Telecom
(CMT) focusing on the global advantages CMT offers Taiwan business
people when "roaming" around the region. Almost five percent
of Taiwans population is abroad on a single day; CMT offers
huge discounts using its MVNO model.
On the day of launch, a total of 29 media personnel attended the
media conference resulting in 63 media placements including in-depth
coverage in the two leading business dailies and cable TV news.
Carol Ho, manager of CMT corporate communications was extremely
impressed with the media attendance at the Taiwan launch. The Taiwan
launch also received significant positive and enthusiastic media
responses and coverage, far exceeding the clients expectations.
This Taiwan launch is the result of close collaboration between
GolinHarris offices in Asia Pacific. Originally a Hong Kong client,
CMT has worked with other GolinHarris offices in Singapore and Japan
to arrange other successful customer and media events.

Far Eastern Electronic Toll Collection (FETC) recently won the
bid to execute Taiwans electronic toll collection BOT project
due for completion in October 2005. GH was in charge of planning
and executing the kick-off ceremony.
GH successfully invited reporters from two unrelated fields (transportation
& sports) by combining the transport event with baseball symbolizing
the teamwork between FETC, the government and academia. It also
helped GH demonstrate the three pledges (strikes) of speed, accuracy
and technology.
GH created a positive image for FETC despite the negative prejudice
about Taiwan's current BOT* projects. Despite a typhoon on event
day, GH managed to garner massive publicity and positive news coverage
on all ten TV news channels and six major dailies.
*BOT = build-operate-transfer, where a company is
licensed to build an infrastructure project for a client (usually
a government organisation),operate it for a fixed period of time,
then transfer back to the government

GH transformed a resort on Taiwan's east
coast into a lounge bar for the two-day creative event for
the world's leading online marketing creative directors
|
The Y!K Creative Summit (an "exclusive pseudo-home party for
creative directors") was a unique, first-of-its-kind event
that was successfully executed by GH & Y!K.
A total of 102 people attended the Summit, including 57 executive
and creative directors from the top Taiwan advertising agencies.
The Y!K Creative Summit effectively "shut down" the whole
advertising industry, as everyone was attending the event.
The design and execution of the Y!K Creative Summit showed GHs
capability in conducting "beyond-media" approaches to
drive PR and help the clients business.
The theme of the summit was "Are you virtual or not?"
and had a simple message to show creatives that online advertising
is an extension of offline advertising.
