We're now approaching the end of 2008. And despite the challenging economic environment at the close of this year, we have much to celebrate in the last 12 months—the Beijing 2008 Olympics, our Hong Kong team's IPRA Golden World Award, GolinHarris founder Al Golin's speech at the Global Brand Forum in Singapore and dozens of successful client campaigns.
But as we end 2008 we cannot rest on our laurels. Rather, we must focus on continuing this year's momentum into the future to be certain we are delivering the highest quality work to our clients.
In a recognition of client-inspired quality and success, we're introducing a new segment called "Client Perspectives." In this issue, Howard Charney, senior vice president at Cisco; Rob van der Merwe, president and CEO of Checkpoint Systems; and Shane O'Neill, business development director, Asia, for Talent2; share their insight on important industry issues.
Finally, Breakthrough pays tribute to the bold thinking and flawless execution that continues to be a hallmark of GH's work. From communicating cancer awareness in Singapore, hosting a child-friendly factory tour in Shanghai, unveiling a "theft barometer" in Sydney and even launching a video website—we're proud to share these real stories with you.
