Al Golin presented McDonald's Owner/Operator Roy Griggs with the
Al Golin Communications Excellence Award during the company's national
marketing leadership meeting in Chicago. This award is given each
year to an individual that best exemplifies a commitment to excellence
and to building the brand by building trust in his or her local community.
The McDonald's Big Mac team celebrated the 40-year anniversary of the iconic
sandwich by inviting consumers to remix the famous "Big Mac Jingle" for
the Big Mac Chant-Off Casting Call on MySpace.com.
The McDonald's team also managed an unprecedented international pre-Olympic press
conference via a webcast with live feeds from Asia, Europe and North America.
The webcast detailed the company's plans to bring the Olympic Games to life for
customers around the world.
